The difference between bait fishing reels and ordinary fishing reels

1. Differences in structure and design
Bait fishing reels: The direction of the fishing line wound on the spool is in the same plane as the direction of the line out, which reduces friction and distortion, better protects the fishing line, and reduces the wear rate.
Ordinary spinning reels: The winding direction is perpendicular to the line out direction, and the line needs to be reeled in by rotating the winding arm, which is easy to cause the fishing line to be entangled and worn due to the spiral outgoing line.

2. Braking system and operation design
Bait fishing reels: Equipped with a weak brake knob and a casting switch, the outgoing line resistance can be dynamically adjusted to prevent line explosion (the spool idling causes the line to be entangled); some high-end models support magnetic + centrifugal dual braking to adapt to different bait weights and casting scenarios.
Ordinary spinning reels: Relying on mechanical check switches and flywheel rotation to reel in, it is easy to operate but the casting accuracy is low, and it is easy to cause messy lines due to the inertia of the spool.

3. Operation and maintenance features
Bait type: requires mastering the skills of casting switch and brake adjustment, and the entry threshold is high; some models are equipped with one-handed auxiliary operating parts to facilitate one-handed control of the rod and line collection.
Ordinary spinning reel: simple operation, suitable for novices, just turn on the check switch when casting.
